The Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations (CEIV) credential is for professionals who perform fair value measurements for entities and intangible assets for financial reporting purposes.

Thank you for participating in the Certified in Entity and Intangible ValuationsTM (CEIVTM) credential program. You must take the CEIV Education and successfully complete both parts of the CEIV Exam to obtain the CEIV credential. CEIV Exam Part 1 covers the Fair Value Measurement Environment, Guidance and Related Auditing Requirements concepts covered in the CEIV education. CEIV Exam Part 2 is based on the Mandatory Performance Framework and its related Applications. The concepts covered in both parts of the CEIV Exam are highlighted in the required self-paced learning.
The CEIV Exam a two-part online exam which includes 60 multiple choice questions per part. Parts 1 and 2 of the CEIV Exam are timed and once you begin the exam, each will automatically close after 120 minutes. For your convenience, the online exam is can be accessed via a desktop or laptop computer. Please be sure that pop-ups are enabled on your browser to ensure seamless delivery of the exam. At exam completion, a pop-up will confirm whether you passed or not.
For first time CEIV Exam registrants, your exam purchase entitles you to one exam (first attempt) and one re-take (second attempt) if you do not pass the first attempt. Prior to accessing the re-take, the RICS recommends you study the topics covered in your first exam attempt. If you do not pass either the first or second attempt, you must purchase a third attempt. After three failed attempts, you will be subject to retaking the CEIV education and a 90-day cooling off period before you can take the CEIV Exam again.
